Today is the 100th day and feels quite special. Spending 100 days with 20+ people is not an easy task. It started of with her missing her family very badly. At least 100 instances of crying every week. And then the bootcamp could test the limits of any individual. Times where she was woken up in the middle of night to start coding to help simulate on call routine of a software developer. Tough feedbacks to help her improve on the student values and behaviours. From being fed great food at home to treating food as a chore, there have been many compromises she has made. And doing all this without being appreciated for it puts the cherry on top. All this was designed to empower her to rise to any sort of adversity. What was told everyday is that she could swim against this tide only by forming a strong team. There have been many interventions in helping her become a strong team player the quality that industry sought's most. There has been a few lapses in trust and integrity in the past 100 days. Integrity is pretty much a solved problem. I do not think she is now capable of cheating at all. Even throwing a small piece of paper on the street feels like a crime. However what's heartening is the energy of helping each other at home. She has now started to understand only way to win is as a team. Other wins are illusions. Such a milestone on Day 100 makes all the sleepless night worth it like the one today where I am reminded to get up at 4AM to write this blog. Thanks for reading this over last 35 days. Another 65 days of writing left and am excited to travel with all of you in this journey.
