Day 85 : She attends mock interviews

Today is the day she has to attend her monthly mock interviews.

She will tested on Communication, Problem Solving, Technical Skills and Behavioural skills. The interviews start at 9am and will finish at 4pm followed by 2 hours of feedback sessions.

Thankfully HackerRank has provided us their office premises to use for the monthly interviews. Each one of the mentors have to take 15 interviews which sucks all their energy out. By the time feedbacks are done, there is literally no juice left for any of the mentors. However this is the day all mentors look forward to. Lot of their hard work is validated that day.

The performances compared to last month were much better. The average score of the team was 1.45 last month and it is 1.94 this month. We are targeting 2.5 at the end of next month and 3 before the end of the bootcamp.

The ratings are as follows 1 - At Risk ; 2 - Below Expectations ; 3 - Meeting Expectations; 4 - Exceeding Expectations.

Even though the scores have improves the trust in the group has been of grave concern. Despite staying with each other for 85 days, she is not comfortable being vulnerable with each other. Its very concerning as if these girls do not build a strong community, then they won't be able to help the future batches win. As mentors we are now looking for options to improve trust among the students. Hope it works out.
