Day 77 : She goes to a police station

Most capstone projects are enterprising. One of the projects EmpowerHer by her is about helping women facing domestic abuse get help from NGOs, counselling them, Skill Building and then Career Mentoring.

She was finding it hard to get a picture of how women could reach out for help. Without wasting anytime today we went to the police station near KC General hospital to meet social workers at Vanita Sahaya Vani.

She was very excited. Got to learn various use cases from the social worker. The social worker gave her visiting card and asked her to call whenever for help. Once she came back home, she sat with her colleagues and started discussing the new design and workflow for her project. Meeting the social worker made her focus on the Emergency Help for Domestic Abuse as her MVP. What's exciting is her throwing away 2 weeks of work to focus on the new design. This is what we need in enterprising women and she is becoming one.

Later in the day we installed JIRA for everyone and added all User Stories with EPICs and Story points. Everyone learnt it very fast. I have had difficulties helping experienced developers do it.
