This is the first blog. So far 3 out of 6 months are over. The plan was to finish DSA, HTML, CSS, Javascript and REACT. We are a running behind and haven't completed REACT. The last 3 months will be spent on REACT, SpringBoot and MongoDB. Students were appearing jaded. So we have decided to to start the capstone project a little early. The hypothesis is to see if doing their own work will bring out a lot of passion.
Yesterday we worked with all of them to come up with their capstone project ideas. To our surprise some great ideas have come. Few of them being a mentoring website for rural girls, a 12th standard exam prep ed tech for girl dropouts, a website to increase blood donation, a website to save animals by building a network of vets and many more. Girls who looked so shy are now looking so autonomous. Building their own project has brought in a new deal of confidence which we are all happy about.
Design mentors Devaraj and Ganesh have helped with low fidelity designs. Some of the designs are looking pretty cool. Frontend mentor Soumitha is reviewing PRs of static pages.
There is sense of seriousness at home which is new found. Every girl is glued to their monitors and not because of any sort of process we have kept. She is now coming out of her shell and becoming her own person. We have waited so long for this. And playing her cheerleader in her journey has become our new found joy.
And she has finally arrived after 3 months of gruelling bootcamp. She has converted all going against her to go for her. She will thrive and let's witness her journey together.

"In a small house in Bangalore 15 girls from a town Palamaner, AP are training under the guidance of JTD to become full stack developers. They are staying together for 6 months for a gruelling 15 hours a day bootcamp. The series of posts cover their day to day stories". Day 65 of their journey
