Day 107 : She is comprimising her values

A week ago we wrote introducing her to Student Values . She started with a cumulative value of 1.87, however moved to 2.37 is one week. However the rating fell down to 2.1 this week.


As we stated before our values are below

  1. Growth Mindset : Mining growth opportunities during adversities

  2. Trust and Respect

  3. Learn with Joy

  4. Improve the World.

and are scored as 1 - At Risk 2 - Below Expectations 3 - Meeting Expectations and 4 - Exceeding Expectations. Our OKR for Q3 2023 is 3 rating overall.



When we went deeper we understood she had taken few improvements for granted and complacency had creeped in. We looked at the delta from last week and found 6 girls went ahead where 7 regressed. Mentors spoke and decided students who went down with values must be sent back. We came out of the discussion. room and announced that given students aren't focusing on their values and would need to leave the bootcamp location tomorrow morning.

She didn't have dinner yet and I suggested mentors to get dinner. I started eating my dinner to encourage her to eat. She slowly started eating and tears flowed slowly. I consoled a little. However suggested if the value system isn't maintained the survival in the industry will be very hard. Wished them good luck for their careers and went to sleep.


Day 108 tomorrow



Day 107 : "In a small house in Bangalore 15 girls from a town Palamaner, AP are training under the guidance of JTD to become full stack developers.
